One of the best days of my life
One of the best days of my life....Yes I am saying about my Teaching Practice time at St. Joseph's H.S. Sakthikulangara. The phase II of our teaching practice started from 12th June 2024 and ended on 26th July 2024. All those days were unforgettable for me. We had to complete our lesson plans , manage classes from 5th standard to 10th standard, help the teachers in the works of school. But I really loved each moments. Even though it was hectic I carried out my work genuinely and passionately. I love teaching and teaching practice was a golden opportunity (even though it is a part of our curriculum) for me to teach. New ways of teaching were learned and carried out. I feel like it really changed my outlook of teaching. More than a profession it is actually a divine process.
To start with, the school St Joseph's H.S. Sakthikulangara is a small school with lots of facilities. The staffs were really cordial with us. Headmistress Hermoine was friendly as well as disciplined. Our concerned teacher Mary Ann was really friendly. She supported me during the teaching practice. And about students, they were really sweet and frank.
In 9A, I taught my main subject Physics. 9A students already knew me as I taught them Chemistry in the first phase. They are talkative and I had to give more energy to gain their attention. But they are really nice. I showed many simple science experiments to teach the concept of refraction and even my colleagues gave a name for me 'The magician' when I showed those simple experiments to them. I had a special connection with that class as they were my first class whom I taught for the first time in the first phase of teaching practice.
On the last day students of 9A wrote their feedbacks. Archana and Tesa gifted me sweets. Most of the students in their feedbacks highlighted that I was really friendly and patient and I made the subject Physics interesting for them. The game 'Ping Pong Shoot' (a game to improve concentration) will be cherished by them forever - student named Shreya highlighted this.

In 8A , I taught Chemistry. 8A students are really funny. But during the class they are really attentive. They always wanted experiments to be carried out in the classroom. In the feedbacks also I understood that students really loved me.
